New Year Celebrations at Kochi

Kochi is all set to welcome 2016. Kochites are all excited about the next year because of the promise of Metro Rail completion and Smart City initial phase being a reality by 2016. This would change the look of Kochi and we will hopefully be known as a Smart City by 2016! The best way to welcome this New Year is to party all night and welcome 2016 in a cheerful mood. Here are the options we have for you to celebrate this NewYear eve!

Option 1 - Home/Residential Parties

The best option to celebrate New Year at Kochi is still with your neighbours and friends at your residential complex with the safety and security of your neighbourhood. You could organize some fire works, do a barbeque dinner or even try potluck. The big advantage is that there is no worry of driving back home and still enough entertainments to keep you awake till New Year! If you are staying in an apartment, it would be a great idea to go to roof top by 11:40 Pm and swith off the lights. You would be amazed to see the fireworks around you if you stay in the city. It is a good way to start the new year by lighting a candle with your family and friends which symbolizes lighting up the new year.

Option 2 - Fort Cochin Beach

If you are feeling adventurous and like to go out with you family and friend for a night out, Fort Cochin is the place for you. You would have the company of thousands celebrating at the beach at Fort Cochin. You would be welcomed by the friendly locals with the backdrop of music from every nook and corner, this will be a memorable night at Cochin. There will be live performances organized by the Cochin Carnival with food joints and open parties across the beach. At 12:00 the Papanghe - the huge Santa statue, will be burned which represents the past year and a you could expect a loud uproar of newyear greetings, to welcome the new year. Please note that, its not ideal to have small kids along but completely safe for families and couples.

Option 3 – Retro night at Le meridian

Reignite the memories of the recent past; retouch passions of trend, music, modes & fashion. An Entertainment ecstasy awaits you at the Le Meridien Retro Party. Option 5 – Kochi Marriott Hotel

At the heart of Kochi, join in for the Aura New Year Bash with DJ Pearle Maaney and Sekhar Menon. Marriott Hotel claims that this would be the biggest event happening in the town. The entry is from 8:00 Pm with 3 party zones and culinary delights.
