Mullapandal Toddy Shop is located near Thripunithara, Kochi. This small restaurent is known across Kerala for its speciality- Karimeen Pollichathu. It actually one of the exotic fish - Pearl Spot, tawa fried in banana leaves with coconut oil and some unique spices. It is a very spicy dish but ideal for a food lover who loves to try local cuisines. Mullapandal in my view is the best place in Kochi for this exotic dish.

 

The menu at Mullapandal is unlimited. From Prawns to Lobsters, kuttanad duck roast to pork fry, grilled crabs to rabbit roast, the list is unending. The must try as per my recommendation is the Karimeen Polichathu and the prawns roast. They cook the food only after you order and you need patience. They make sure you get the freshest fish in town and fine-tune the taste as per your requirement. 

 

If you love spicy food, Mullapandal should be your next destination. The independent rooms at this Toddy Shop gives you enough privacy to take you family to this place. You need to be patient in getting you space but the tasty food the offer compensates for your effort and makes it a Must try destination in my list of Food Joints in and around Kochi.
